I had the honor of meeting Christian Siriano yesterday and saw his Moody Mama's collection. He is a total sweetheart. I was able to interview him, but the transcript will be up in the future. I didn't have my camera or flip cam. Yesterday was such a hectic day! Anyway, the transcript will be a Christmas treat ;)

If I had some kind of fancy event to go to and had to scratch vintage out of the way, I would definitely consult Christian's collection. I think his work and creativity is as admirable as the Mulleavy's Rodarte line. My absolute favorite couture lines are Rodarte, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, and Christian Siriano. All very different and beautiful in their own ways. The feminine looks that Christian creates are incredible. His work has both elements that I love. A little bit of rock and roll and a lot of femininity. So, rock & roll + femininity = ferocious!

Thank you Gina and Holly for having me! And thank you Christian! :)

Here are 2 of my favorite videos of Christian

Decorating a house with 2 people that have different tastes is hard. J likes modern and I like classic. Like this beautiful chandelier. He thinks it's old fashioned. Hmm.

Chicago based designer, Christina Fan, invited me to go to GenArt Chicago last month. I'd never been to Chicago until then, so it was definitely a lot of fun and a nice weekend trip to go on. The weather was perfect! A nice break from the SoCal heat (back in October...) Katy and I were roommates on our Weardrobe trip, it was fun reuniting with her! We stayed at the beautiful Palmer House in Chicago and had a blast.

I've been going back to basics lately, so seeing Christina's designs was like a call from the skies.

Christina's designs are very simple yet chic. The fabrics are great, too (so important!). You can find her line at local Chicago stores...her line will also be available at Jake's soon...and other sites as well.

I love this dress

Right outside our hotel...

Cold day in Chicago...

Walking to Michigan Ave.

And before we headed to the airport later that day...we had a delicious brunch with Tavi.

Autumn leaves...so pretty.

Thanks for the hospitality!

THIS THANKSGIVING....I AM THANKFUL FOR...

MY FEET!
(and a lot of other things, of course!)
SO I CAN WEAR THESE BABIES!

I found the YSL wedges in a knee high version and am in complete love. Had nooo idea they came in a knee high version! I'm thinking about taking them to my cobbler and asking him to add a zipper to the ankle part so I can wear them short, too. Also slipped and got the BCBG mendel boots. Opps.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Liz is not only gorgeous in pictures, but even more so in person.
Ah and her shoes are on my lust list! Solestruck please stock them ASAP so I can buy them ;)

Bjules' PR team sent me some pictures of the "KarenO Blades". So beautiful and so much fun! They remind me of Zana's crazy beautiful work of art, but in a metal form. Both are beautifulllll! I had to dedicate a whole post for Zana's work. Because it's THAT beautiful.

Who wants to be a knight in shining armor now?

PS- don't mind the plastic nipples...
