Shoes. Shoes. Shoes.

It all began a few years ago when I found out about monsieur Louboutin's red soled shoes. My very first pair were the above pictured black Pigalles. To put it mildly, I became hooked to his shoes albeit the pain and looks I got when wearing them. I began visiting sites that talked about shoes as well as sites that sold these shoes on a daily basis.
I also eventually collected quite a few pairs and upon visiting my shoe closet some time this year, and began to think...

Why is it that we (both women & [some] men) love designer shoes so much? What is it about them that entices us to them? Do they make us feel more empowered? What is the satisfaction that we all feel when we wear them? When did we make our first purchase? How did we discover designer shoes? What did we think when we saw the price tag? How do we decide which shoes to get? Did/Do blogs and websites affect our decision making process? Do our friends and family know about our love for shoes? Do they know how much we pay for them?

I'd love to hear your thoughts while we all listen to this song.
